Implanted and Port Access, Care, and Maintenance

This 2-hour course provides comprehensive training on implanted port access, care, and maintenance, equipping clinicians with the knowledge and skills to manage ports in accordance with best practice standards safely. This course provides 2 contact hours.

PICC and Midline Removal

This 1-2-hour course provides focused didactic training on the safe removal of PICC and midline catheters, including patient assessment, indications for removal, step-by-step removal techniques, post-removal care, complication management, and documentation requirements. This course provides 1-2 contact hours.

Peripheral IV Insertion and Maintenance

This 4-hour course delivers in-depth didactic training on the indications and initiation of IV therapy, covering patient assessment, site and catheter selection, insertion techniques, care and maintenance, management of complications, and best practices in documentation. This course provides 4 contact hours.

Advanced Skills Courses

Advanced IV Therapy

This 8-hour course expands infusion expertise through advanced IV therapy skills, including venous port access and de-accessing, peripheral IV insertion, PICC and midline removal, central line blood collection, and techniques for clearing occluded catheters. This course provides 7 contact hours.

Phlebotomy from Peripheral and Central Lines

This 1-2-hour course teaches best practices for obtaining blood specimens from both peripheral and central lines, focusing on patient safety, specimen integrity, and adherence to infection prevention standards. This course provides 1-2 contact hours.

Hypodermoclysis (subcutaneous hydration)

This 1-2-hour course provides training on hypodermoclysis for subcutaneous fluid administration, emphasizing appropriate patient selection, site preparation, infusion techniques, and monitoring to ensure safe and effective hydration therapy. This course provides 1-2 contact hours.

Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) Administration
